2 good games today.

Kobe is better than anyone else in the league. If the Lakers win this series, it will be one of the greatest performances in NBA history. I'm starting to like Kobe now that everyone else hates him.

The Clippers better sweep the Lakers next series, cuz Lakers fans are as bad as Trojan (football) fans.

Clippers need a bigger fan base anyway, so a series win over the Lakers would be pretty cool for that franchise.

though it's probably not right, i've liked kobe even more since the whole rape trial and everything. i hated the lakers when they were so successful, but i really like this current laker team.

Luke vs. Shaq would be like sending an orphan to a pack of wolves.

The Bulls' big man depth chart is depressing:

Michael Sweetney

Malik Allen

Othella Harrington

Luke Schenscher

If Lebron is going to make this many threes, you might as well just keep 2 players on him at all times. Man he's good.

And yet they lose the game.

Humorous.

On the flip side: How the heck are the Lakers winning 3-1?!

Somewhere, Nick Smith is watching...

I hear from a very reliable source that Nick Smith is an ass.

BTW: Does anyone else get the impression from TNT/ABC announcers that they are rooting for the Bulls to lose? What do they have against this team? I mean, I don't really like Johnny "Red" Kerr, but at least he roots for his team. These guys are supposed to stay out of the fandom and are unabashadly rooting against the Bulls.

I think Albert and Kerr actually like the Bulls. I can't say the same for the ABC guys because they know Miami has the stars and they think that they'll get higher ratings if the Heat remain in the playoffs.

I s'pose, but imagine the uproar if the Bulls pull off the upset in the new 7 game series format.

I don't know if you heard Steve Kerr on last week with the morning midday guys on ESPN Radio, but he was fawning over Kirk Hinrich, thinking he's one year away from being as good as Steve Nash. Kerr is a good basketball man, and while I don't think Hinrich will be that good, at least he shows some love for the Bulls.

The Bulls' young nucleus is just really good.

Anyone know when Noc is a FA?

I remember it being a three year deal but I'm not having any luck verifying that. Also suspect he'll be a restricted free agent once his current contract expires, but I'm not sure about that either.

Most of the announcers love the Bulls if you ask me. Last year, Kerr ripped the Bulls at every turn and jollied himself to Gilbert Arenas, but this year, Kerr and Bill Walton really seem to like the Bulls (Walton's absurd reasoning about why it's legal for Shaq to elbow Tyson in the head notwithstanding). I think the nation is starting to realize that the Heat are a bunch of overhyped overpaid pansies and the Bulls are a hardworking team that deserves more recognition than they are getting. I also believe Andres Nocioni is having a coming-out party. I'll tell you what nothing makes me smile quite like hearing NO-CI-O-NI rain down from the UC stands.

And yes, I'm still EXTREMELY pissed that after buying three tickets for myself and my two friends for Game 6, that finals are going to keep me here while the other two get to go and take another friend.

Noc is seriously one of the most underated players in the league.

He's probably the most popular player on the team. He even has a graphic for his Noh-see-oh-nee chant.

I was shocked. I hope there's a potential clinch on Thursday and to be there. I loved the atmosphere today and I want another piece of it.

If you ask me, Kerr loves this Bulls team. I think maybe he was hard last year on the Bulls because he didn't want potential unbiased viewers to think he's a homer for his former team. Although that could be wrong because Arenas is an Arizona guy, but I'm willing to give Kerr the benefit of the doubt because he's very good at what he does and a pleasure to listen to.

Could the Bulls afford to draft a guy like Bargnani and work him in w/ moderate minutes in hopes he becomes a beast up front like is expected? Then sign a stop gap at C for a season or two, draft a big 2 guard?

Chandler, Bargnani, stopgap C, Sweetney, Songaila, Allen, Harrington (last two would probably be dumps) could be a good enough front line with the backcourt maturing. I think the Bulls could afford to wait one season on Bargnani.

If the Bulls can somehow win this series (I'm actually not all that confident, despite the last two wins), I'm gonna feel bad for the Heat fans. If the Bulls weren't playing them, I'd be cheering for them to win it all. Oh well, go Bulls!

I'm all for drafting Bargnani, and they should be able to sign Przybilla, but I think Roy, Brewer and Collins will be off the board when the Bulls pick at 16. Rudy Fernández and Maurice Ager are each 6-5, but either one would be an overdraft at 16. I wonder if getting a big 2 is a priority for Paxon anymore anyway, given Hinrich's and Gordon's play against the Heat. I know I've been impressed.

Capt. Kirk is Pax's guy, barring him just playing like total crap for a year or two I think he's going to be around for awhile.

That can be said for no less than 4 of the players on our team:

For clarification, because I continually hear it pronounced both ways:

is it NO-SEE-ONI or NO-CHEE-ONI?

Spanish doesn't have the letter Č, so it has to be NO-SEE-ONI.

That's right, he's argentinian. duh. For some reason, I always think of him as eastern euro.
