I turned it on at half time and I have to say that the 3rd quarter was one of the worst quarters of basketball I've seen a team play in a long time. I mean, what the heck are the Bulls doing out there? Gordon was draining shots, but even some of those were not good ideas. This team is very bad.

Not a great night for the Bulls, but their competition had a lot to do with it.

sure, but it was certainly a clinic on ball movement and floor spacing by Phoenix. The Bulls haven't played like that since the late 90's

I don't think the Bulls are very bad, and there's nothing about this year's Suns team that makes me think of the late 90's Bulls. The Bulls are decent with a solid young core of talent (3 players representing the sophomore class during All-Star weekend), and the Suns are a very good team unlikely to win one championship, much less three in a row.

I'm hoping the Bulls can split the next four games on the road, and get back on track for a playoff spot. Even if they fall a bit short, I'm looking forward to the draft and off season. I could be being too patient, but six titles in eight years helps with that.

I want to see them make the playoffs this year and continue to improve, but I know they aren't going to contend for a title just yet.

The future looks bright still. They have some solid young talent, cap space, and a likely very high pick in the draft.

Like 1908 says, 6 rings eases the growing pains.

Luol Deng has just lost my respect. What a waste of another Ben Gordon gem. All he had to do was STAND there and wait to get fouled but he had to pass off and that was that.

yeah tell me about it. And why did Ben inbound the ball on the final play? To give the ball to one of the slowest shooters on the team with .7 seconds left? I guess I'll be enjoying the 2 lotto picks this year

Noc would have made it before the buzzer without the pump fake. It's a good thing I don't root for a college basketball team that loses games like this.

Oh wait...

Sorry about the bulls. The Cavs almost blew one. They were up 11 with 3:07 left, and the Bucks went on a 12-0 run to take the lead. Talk about upsetting. But LeBron actually decided to step up in the clutch, go figure.

Yeah the Bulls are sorry indeed.

Looks like the Cavs are finally going to get to the playoffs!

I really hope so. I think we have a legit chance at winning our first round series, too, depending on if we can hold onto the #4 seed.

Since the breakup of the championship team, this team has lacked the "go-to" superstar. Jalen Rose failed, Crawford was a bust, Curry was too slow to develop, and free agents have spurned us time and time again. I'm not sure the "next big thing" is in this year's draft or not, but for now, the team is all role players and no star

The Detroit Pistons don't have a problem with the philosophy of having no star players. I wouldn't say they have a clear go-to guy, well at least not anymore than Gordon is for the Bulls.

The only problem with that reasoning is that every single one of the Pistons' starters would probably be THE go to guy or at least the 2nd option on the Bulls. It's not a team of no stars, it's a team of stars working together. There's a big difference.

Hopefully they can at least start to turn it. Wednesday's game in Denver will be on WGN/ESPN2. Thursday's game against Sacramento will be on TNT.

Sweet! 2 games i can actually watch. The Bulls need to get over the hump and start winning these close games. Last year they were finding ways to win games and this year they are finding ways to blow them or just flat out sucking for the first 24 or so minutes.

FromBill Simmons' most recent rambling, he goes on to talk about the Knicks in the Adam Morrison sweepstakes without mentioning at all about the Bulls getting the Knicks first round pick in 06.

I hate it when a guy is that arrogant in his writing style (where he can write stupid columns about Boston being the greatest thing since, well ever) that he ignores common known fact (for those that followed a pretty major story during the offseason.

To recap: For that one extra win, the Knicks spent four times as much money, killed their cap flexibility through 2009 and gave away any chance of having a top-five pick in the next two years. On the bright side, Eddy Curry has gained enough weight this season that he might start wearing jackets to cover his rear end during games, kinda like how Oprah dresses when she's in the middle of one of her eating binges. So that will be fun.

(God bless the Isiah Era. We'll be talking about this for decades. I really believe that.)
