Sounds like a winner to me! (now all we need is for Carpenter to have like his worst pitching game of the season today - and Williams his best)

Actually... since I'll be off and it'll be in HD tomorrow night on ESPN... I hope that (IF the Cubs are going to lose 1 game this series), it'll be this one and then Prior comes out and throws a gem tomorrow night, and the Cubs' bats pummel the Cards' pitching.

didin't a cards fan post the official line-ups last game too? What's up?

I'm fast

keep it up...we're winning.

BTW, most Cubs fans are very superstitious about these things. Perhaps we'll bring you on as our official lineups guy if we win today. How 'bout it mods?

wow, thats the best lineup i've seen since i can remember. Uh, good job Dusty

We could kick the crap outta Carpenter today with this lineup, but he'd come back with the Macias-Perez 1-2 tomorrow.

"That lineup was hot, dude. My guys really know how to come through for me."

So give it to me straight Chicago-ans, we looking at a rain delay to start the game or a real good chance of running into one during the game?? (would help with how long to run my DVR recording of the game today) Thanx!

Huh. Dusty puts probably the best possible lineup on the field.

Switch Lawton over to RF and put Murton in LF and then we'd have the best possible lineup. But this one isn't bad either.

Looks like Larussa is pulling the anti-Dusty. Dusty wont play rookies and Tony wont sit him. Taguchi is batting well over .300 and slugging 500 since the all-star break. Rodriguez couldnt hit an offspeed pitch to save his life. Plus he cant run bases and is bad definsevly yet he is playing over So.

Looks like TLR is playing the L/R matchup even though Taguchi has been good against RHP lately.

It does not look good.

I could go for 3 innings, then about an hour delay.

Jerome would likely come back after that, I doubt LaRussa would risk bringing Carp back though.
