Lee just killed that pitch. They should check the wall out there to make sure everything is okay. :D

3-0. Hope Ram didn't hurt himself trying to hustle into 2nd.

Anyone interested in a Wood save attempt?

this feels like one we lose late....

They don't usually add to their lead before a loss though.

Always looking for new ways to lose.

Yeah, I have a little bit of confidence in this one now!

Ugh. The Cards are lucky.

Beyond a doubt the luckiest team in the NL, they're also good.

Why can't you guys just give us credit?

We've been a great team for over a year and half now. This isn't a flukey ride of luck.

I'll give the Cards credit. The luck excuse is pure crap. The Cards are probably the best team in baseball this year and were the second best last year. Last season, I thought they'd lose in the World Series, but I'm more concerned that they'll win it this year.

Oh, I don't like the Cards at all, though. I'd root for the White Sox over them in the World Series.

If they don't get Rolen, Walker and Sanders back, they're not going to the WS with their present lineup.

Nope. Dempster hasn't lost the job and Woody hasn't shown enough to take it yet. Ask me again in two weeks.

How was he thrown out at second? Slow as molasses I assume?

Not that I care, great work on the back to back 2 out RBI's.

Didn't see it, but remember he's kinda gimpy these days. I hold my breath whenever I see him running the bases - kind of like an NL Edgar Martinez, only Aramis can field.

Essentially, this is the save attempt with the top of the order coming up. Dempster will mop up the scrubs.

Not to complain...but was Macias really the best option there?

It's debateable.

There's a jinx if I ever heard one.

Fred, you got stats on how the Cards first 3 fare against Woody?

Eckstein has never faced Wood

Nunez is 2 for 10 with a BB and 3 K's.

Pujols is 10 for 32 with a double, 3 HR, 4 K'sand 6 walks.

Thanks!
