Do we know who else was involved? And do you have a link to that? (not that I don't believe you, just that I dont' remember it).

It was something Bruce Miles either said on this site, or in one of his articles. I don't have the exact quote on me.

It was in the "Deal For Adam Dunn soon" thread. Everyone was wetting their pants about a deal of Hill/Mitre/Patterson for Dunn, and Bruce came in and said that there was no such deal, and that Hendry wouldnt even trade Hill straight up for Dunn.

Obviously that doesnt mean that the Reds offered us that deal, but if Bruce said it, I'm pretty much obliged to take him at his word that he knows Hendry wouldnt go for it.

it never fails when the pitcher bats for himself, when maybe he shouldn't he just falls apart and gets taken out in the next inning.

Dusty getting booed!!

Makes lots of sense to maufacture a run when you're 4 down to the NL's best hitting team. I wish I could get paid $3 million a year to have my head up my rearend.

Then I guess it shows the original quote was made up.

I'd love to see a fan throw a cup of beer at Baker.

Real great idea, maybe you should buy a ticket and do it.

Might wake him up :)

Sheeeesh hardly any boos. Maybe WGN blocked them out?

My system's cranked, and the booage came through loud and clear despite Len's attempt to distract with a promotional message. The crowd did a good job.

The quote was made up, but the fact that Hendry wouldnt trade Hill for Dunn, straight up is true.

Am so glad Baker used Williams to move Murton over. Going to need that run in this tight one. Perhaps Baker hasn't been watching the game??

Derwood, I like your sig, but why is Barrett in there? he's done a lot more good than bad.

It was a tough call on who else to put in there. It could've been Hendry I guess. It definitely would have been LaTroy if he was still around. Perez, Macias and Hollandsworthless are definitely the "Dusty Boys" though.

You don't want a weak hitting pitcher to sac bunt? It's not like he would've done anything positive swinging away.

I'd die to have Vlad on our team.

Oh and Im sure the Angels would love to give up an MVP/Andre Dawson Part 2.
