Get to the park early, and try to forget everything. Live in the moment! There will be plenty of fireworks because the Cubs bats will awaken, but only for one glorious late summer day, to clobber the Reds.

And in response to every first inning homer given up by our pitchers:

It's too high!

Unfortunately, I'll probably still watch. I'm a sucker for pain.

I fully plan on watching, but after seeing today's game thread...It's going to be a fully pessimistic JoshiQ. I don't care if anything good happens, there will be a negative comment.

Go CUBS !!

I have absolutely no interest in this game whatsoever.

I think I'll be watching the Bears-Dolphins HOF game at 7PM.

You know its bad when the season has come to preferring to watch pre-season football instead of the Cubs. How can Dusty be so incompetent? I full expect to see Macias, Perez and Hollandsworth in this game before Cedeno or Murton. Its always good to go with what you know...we know these guys won't get the job done....no reason to risk it with the young guys.

"It's past funny now. It's not funny at all," said Dusty Baker on rumours of him leaving the Cubs.

"It's past funny now. It's not funny at all," said the Robot Devil on the Cubs at the moment.

I'm optimistic for this game. I really can't wait. I've finished my blind optimism course and I'm really looking forward to it.

Go Cubs.

I keep going to bed every night in hopes that I'll wake up in the morning, check NSBB, and there will be a "Baker Fired!!!!!" thread started in Baseball Discussions. Unfortunately it hasn't happened.

I'm sick of all these night games. Seriously, I know most of you probably have jobs, but I am a stay-at-home dad and I like watching the games with my daughter in the afternoons.

You make her watch the Cubs this year? Talk about child abuse.
