Am so glad Baker used Williams to move Murton over. Going to need that run in this tight one. Perhaps Baker hasn't been watching the game??

You don't want a weak hitting pitcher to sac bunt? It's not like he would've done anything positive swinging away.

Williams had did nothing to get another inning. Should have pinch hit for Williams, and had Wood ready for the 6th.

Do we know who else was involved? And do you have a link to that? (not that I don't believe you, just that I dont' remember it).

It was something Bruce Miles either said on this site, or in one of his articles. I don't have the exact quote on me.

It was in the "Deal For Adam Dunn soon" thread. Everyone was wetting their pants about a deal of Hill/Mitre/Patterson for Dunn, and Bruce came in and said that there was no such deal, and that Hendry wouldnt even trade Hill straight up for Dunn.

Obviously that doesnt mean that the Reds offered us that deal, but if Bruce said it, I'm pretty much obliged to take him at his word that he knows Hendry wouldnt go for it.

Then I guess it shows the original quote was made up.

The quote was made up, but the fact that Hendry wouldnt trade Hill for Dunn, straight up is true.

Based on what?

He shouldn't have been hitting at all.

How listless does this team have to get before Hendry is forced to can Busty?

Derwood, I like your sig, but why is Barrett in there? he's done a lot more good than bad.

It was a tough call on who else to put in there. It could've been Hendry I guess. It definitely would have been LaTroy if he was still around. Perez, Macias and Hollandsworthless are definitely the "Dusty Boys" though.

Perhaps Wood instead of Barrett since he hasn't exactly been productive.

Based on Bruce Miles saying it. I guess you're calling him a liar then.

Oh sweet Jesus, are you just trying to be annoying? Bruce Miles said it, it's probably true, and you don't know squat.

I'm going for a 12-1 finish tonight... I tihnk the Reds' bats got a couple more bombs left in them.

Hopefully Baker will have to pull another pitcher or two. I want to hear more boos.

Hendry's a stubborn man. May have to root for a 20 game skid in order to get Baker canned.

There, we go, better?

I refuse to record another game this year, in case the Cubs win or do something good, while I'm at work.

This is waaaaay beyond pathetic and they don't deserve my undying support for the rest of this year.

That was Bruce's opinion at the time, just not a fact or a quote from Hendry.

I'm working at the game and I can't linger, but I can tell you no such deal has been offered or accepted by anybody. The Cubs would not trade Hill straight up for Dunn, let alone offer additional players. This deal is not happening. But it's always fun to speculate.

Thanks for the reference, IMB.
