Yeah, that whole knee thing with Bonds kinda piqued my interest too, especially after the new steroid policy. It all seemed kind of convienient to me.

Yea, but I think he's still being tested. THe teller is going to be Post "Knee" surgery Bonds. If he comes back and hits .240 with 16 Homers, then we KNOW he is juicing.

Are players on the DL tested? I don't think they are.

Players on the DL are subject to testing according to Jayson Stark. However, as of three weeks ago, Giant players were subjected twice to testing (not all of them get tested at the same time for some reason), and I thought that the report said that Bonds hadn't been at that time.

Thanks JC. I thought that some players on the DL could be on drugs to help them heal so they would have to wait until they got off the DL.

You'd think that if MLB really wanted to clear up steroids Bonds would have been one of the first guys tested.

You have to question a 37 year old man (at the time) not admitting an erection problem becoming the pitch man for Viagra for gods sake.

"I don't have erectile disfuction I just play one on TV".

Couldn't happen to a better guy IMO.

Somewhere Ryno is laughing and his former wife, is being asked by some John paying $20 for a youknowwhat if she knew when she did him.

One of the funniest things I've read on here! :lmao:

From his conference call...

"I am sure you will ask how I tested positive for a banned substance. As I look back, I don't have a specific answer to give. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to explain to the arbitrator how the banned substance entered my body. The arbitrator did not find that I used a banned substance intentionally - in fact, he said he found my testimony to be compelling - but he ruled that I could not meet the heavy burden imposed on players who test positive under the new drug policy.

I accept this punishment and want to address it publicly. I want to apologize to MLB, the Baltimore Orioles organization, my teammates, and most of all, my fans. Given my role with the No Tolerance Committee and my relationships with Congress, I feel the need to communicate a serious message to my fellow players and to kids everywhere. All of us have to be responsible and exercise extreme care in what we put in our body. I hope that all MLB players and kids will learn from what has happened to me. I have never intentionally used a banned substance, but I unfortunately wasn't careful enough."

Seems like he's taking the old "Yeah, I took it, but it was an accident" route.

Ahhh, how ironic that it happens the day after tons of fans hear a HOF'r say how the game has changed and made the "he did it naturally" comment about Dawson. Perfect timing Ryno!

I'll bet Sandberg cracked up laughing when he heard about it

Maybe he "tripped going down the stairs and fell onto the needle"?

Nice try, Raffy! How could he not be "careful enough"? Especially now after all the attention on steroids?

What are Raffy's stats in the last month. I'm just wondering if he was struggling and went the quick route to "success".

Again, does anyone know how long this stuff stays in your system?

Steriod detection times vary, but I heard the longest time is 18 months.

here you go.

Interesting...thanks.

Yeah, I've been looking at it since I found the link. Quite an interesting website.

Keep in mind, BALCO isn't the only lab that makes "undetectable steroids" for athletes. This could have just been a failure or Raffy taking too much too close to a test. Not everything is the same and I'm pretty sure they all have different detection cycles.

Pretty sure there's a decent number of guys in MLB still on the juice, although the testing has made a lot quit obviously.

I think we'll find out pretty soon that most of the guys who got called in front of Congress were on the juice.

Bonds has been tested this year. And after the all-player testing, the sample is completely random so as not to be discriminatory.

I cant wait till this thread is 150 pages long and they start to spew venom towards every player who has ever hit a home run in his career.

Look! He's smaller! And that thing on his chin could possibly be a zit, or maybe some leftover cottage cheese from the pregame meal. That convinces me! He's a juicer!!

Kerry Robinson off Mike Remlinger. Don't get me started on that one.

Nah, no need for us to do that. Ryno did it for us.
