does anyone know why gerut is in? i mean, seriously, can anyone explain this? did dusty forget that Halsey is a lefty?

 

He didn't want Ohman leading off the inning in a 1-0 game and Murton batted last. It's either him or Hollandsworth in that situation.

 

Gerut just doubled.

 

So pinch hit for him, it's not like Ohman is staying in to pitch the seventh. It just reeks of overmanaging to me. Obviously it worked out, but still, its odd.

No, I've noticed it too. The new scouting report must be to try and pitch him inside. Looks like a number of those pitches have been too far inside.
