Cubs don't do well this year versus starters they've never seen before... and he's a lefty. Rueter, another lefty goes tomorrow - the Cubs can really give themselves some confidence versus lefties with a couple wins.

Normally i am not happy with the Cubs facing these 2 guys in the next 2 days but i feel good about this. Lowry can be had an Rueter just doesnt bother me a whole lot anymore. Now id like to see murton today AND tomorrow. Holla is been real crappy lately and it seems all he is doing is pulling everything, these lefties will eat him up.

We did pretty well during that last stretch of lefties too.

I'd be shocked if Murton isn't starting both days.

Holla sure is streaky. Before this stretch of coldness he was killing the ball for a couple weeks.

The temperature should be a pleasant 72 degrees and dropping at gametime with a 14 mph wind blowing in from left center, but there's a 30% chance of rain all night.

Prediction based on Match-ups: Well, Greg Maddux knows a lot about Giants hitters. On the other hand, Lowry is young and has only faced the Cubs once. Therefore, I'm undecided.

PBOM Record: 4-3

Do we give you the win if its a one run game, then, or goes to extras?

Go Cubs.

If I think it will be a loss based on match-ups, and it actually turns out to be a loss as I predicted I get a win. If I predicted a loss, and they win, I get the loss. Same thing goes for wins..

If I'm undecided, then the record won't change.

72 degrees and dropping

Heat index of 90 degrees when I left before noon and it has to feel around 75 right now. I just hope these clouds don't open up around gametime.

So with us facing two lefties in a row, shouldn't that mean two consecutive starts for Murton?

Macias will probably get at least one start in LF.

Macias hasn't started a game in left field yet this year. Why do you think he will now ?

Go CUBS !!

So with us facing two lefties in a row, shouldn't that mean two consecutive starts for Murton?

Macias will probably get at least one start in LF.

Macias hasn't started a game in left field yet this year. Why do you think he will now ?

Because, people from Chicago always think the sports cup is half empty.

Others see it as half empty

Cubs fans worry about when the glass will tip over.

Lineups are out. Normal LH lineup. Perez 7th, Murton 8th. Barrett 5th.

Burnitz is in the 6 hole so Rammy is cleanup tonight.

right where he should be!

well it started pouring here about an hour ago and it's now a light rain. We didn't get any rain last night though while some suburbs got hammered. Let's hope that Wrigleyville will be dry tonight.

Weather Bug says there is a 40% chance of showers between 7pm and 9pm CST. After 9pm the chance of showers drops to 30%. More than likely, this game will not be interrupted due to inclimate weather.

Can some one post the starting lineups for me. I cant seem to find them. TIA

Well, the game starts at 7, and usually the line-ups are posted 1.5 hours before a game.. I'd check back into this topic for line-ups around 5:30-ish.

This one's not gonna be played. that's my bet at least. Look at the weather.com map:
