That is confusing as hell.

2 catchers, no second baseman...nm, i have no idea where youre going with this.

I'm assuming you're poking fun at Baker's inability to create a lineup :?

Yeah i just asked about the lineup in the game thread.

I honestly don't believe the trade will be announced until after the game "IF" it happens at all. Best case is that Dunn leaves town with the Cubs. I just don't see it happening.

I do have to agree with that. The guy did say today or tomorrow.

It would make more sense if it wsa announced tomorrow after the game.

Rich hill could then make his start.

But, still. I hold hope.

O no i wasnt waiting for the lineup for that reason. I was just wondering if Dunn is playing and if Gerut will get his first start as a Cubbie.

I also doubt that Dunn would magically appear in the lineup tonight.

To my knowledge, this isn't what they're suggesting anyway. They're just seeing if the Reds hold Dunn out of their lineup...

We are not talking about him appearing in ours.

We are talking about him dissapearing from theirs. At least I am.

I dont think it'll happen today. It'll probably happen tomorrow after the game if it happens at all. But, I'm allowed to hope.

For the record, if this actually does happen and someone says, "It's a Dunn deal," I hate you in advance.

Hahaha.

I have to admit it will be interesting to see if he plays tonight!!!

I would wager a large sum of $$ that if he goes somewhere, no matter where that somewhere might be, that it will be the ESPN caption.

Frankly, I don't buy it either however, I will gladly apologize if it comes to fruition. The problem with this supposed trade is that Jim Hendry was live on The Score yesterday afternoon saying that Corey would not be traded (in direct response to questions about the rumors that he was being shopped). He sounded extremely emphatic and everyone knows Hendry is a big Patterson supporter therefore, I have no faith in this trade.

Jim Hendry (numerous dates over the winter) - "Sammy Sosa will be my right fielder"

He always gave himself an out when he spoke about Sammy by saying he is my RF now. Yesterday, Hendry not only said that Corey was going to remain a Cubs player but that he expected him to be better in the future.

If he sits then he's getting traded period.

Dunn has killed wood in his career.

ok.. my eyes literally hurt after reading 28 pages of this.. will definately be interesting to see if all these little things going on today (kearns activated, etc.) lead to Dunn coming to Chicago tonight or tomorrow. Either way, I hold no ill feelings towards the author of this thread. It made for a most interesting read for me on a most boring day. :)

Yeah i know. Theres no way they sit him just for the hell of it when Wood is pitching. Although they did sit him in front of his family in Texas that one time just for the hell of it.

OK, guess my thinking of maybe Kearns plays for Dunn tonight to give him a day off is out of the question.
