Perhaps they're sending guys to AAA to familiarize Iowa's manager with our personnel so when they fire Dusty he'll know some faces for his interim stint.

Oh. My. God.

What is happening?

BTW, I didn't think Dubois had any options left...

They probably outrighted him, which means he'd have to clear waivers.

Neat. So instead of trading him while he had value, we're now basically giving him away. Sweet.

LOL! The Cubs get owned by a team full of Brave AA farm guys, so they decide it can't hurt to try the same thing!

Len and Bob really heaped praise (well deserved) on the Braves for their willingness to call up minor leaguers. Particularly a 19 year old Andruw Jones. It was painfully obvious that a message was trying to be sent.

I still am surprised about Corey. I didn't think he could be sent down without going through waivers.

this is dubois' last option year. he doesn't need to be waived.

i think this is a fantastic move and may be symbolic of hendry taking control of this team.

I think that this is Hendry's way of saying "screw you Dusty, we're gonna do things my way now."

Only getting rid of Perez and Macias would do that. Please let Baker be fired. Jim has to know Dusty won't play Greenberg and Murton.

I'm keeping an eye out for a press conference notice.

Maybe this move precludes a trade....Payton was sent down today, Graves before he was traded, etc...

If Hendry had a different way of doing things, they probably would have already been done. Neither Murton or Greenberg are going to be starting, I'd assume.

This doesn't make any sense at all. I'll wait to hear what Jim says, but I sense disaster. I don't like this one bit.

Maybe, but that's sorta weird. Why bring up AA guys then? Why not just bring up Kelton or whoever? And what could possibly get for Patterson at this point?

Oh I absolutely think it is him taking charge. Dusty is close to being gone.

I'm with you. I hope I'm wrong but I see the kids getting hurt in this one.

I'm pretty surprised by this. Okay, that's an understatement. I'm amazed by this move.

I think it's pretty pointless, though, if Murton and Greenberg ride the pine next to Cedeno. I want to see all three of them get a real chance. None of this platoon garbage. An everyday chance. If that means Hendry has to fire Baker for that to happen, so be it.

No way Hendry is that daft when it comes to player development...something is up, big time.

What is the point? In the span of a week, we call up the two minor leaguers who are playing the best in our system, only so they can sit on their ass in the minors.

At the minimum, Hendry absolutely has to know what he has for next season. Instead of seeing what he has in Patterson, Dubois, and Cedeno, the veterans are playing. And now he's going to hurt two other players by making the waste away on the bench? Simply amazing.

But despite the losing streak, isn't it early to pack it in and play the youth? This is a $100 million team. I can't see Hendry waving the white flag in the first week of July.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a precursor to Dusty getting canned?

Maybe. It's telling that we have holes in LF, CF and SS, and now have the minor league's best options for all three (minus Pie, who is hurt).
