not gonna happen. dusty fought bringing in that lineup for how long, and when he finally tried it (on monday), the cubs rewarded him with a whopping no runs on about six hits. that gives him all the reason he needs to feel good about going with his imbicilic gut for another 10 [expletive] weeks. I say start the entire West Tennessee roster. How much worse can this bullcrap get?!

I'm also starting to hate Macias. Every hit he gets, guarantees him a little more playing time later in the season.

I am really starting to want the Cubs to keep losing until Baker gets fired. We're out of the race, so let's see the players who should play do so as much as possible for the remainder of the season. I actually think we would end up winning more games for it over the long haul, even this season.

OK DUSTBAG, TRY THIS ONE

CF - Hairston

2B - Walker

1B - Lee (assuming he is 100%)

3B - Ramirez

RF - Burnitz

SS - Cedeno

C - Barrett/Blanco

LF - Murton

P - Z

Why do I have a sick feeling the lineup will be more like:

1. Hairston - 2B

2. Perez - SS

3. Barrett - C

4. Ramirez - 3B

5. Hollandsworth - 1B

6. Burnitz - RF

7. Macias - CF

8. Murton - LF

Here's my lineup for today (won't happen, but it's fun anyway):

1. Greenburg CF

2. Hairston 2b

3. Lee 1b

4. Burnitz RF

5. Aram 3b

6. Murton LF

7. Cedeno SS

8. Blanco C

9. Z

It'd be just like Dusty to start Greenberg, a left-handed hitter, in his MLB debut against Dontrelle Willis but not play Murton. Go get 'em kid. Don't want to screw up Holly's swing.

With that said, is there any chance this game will even be played tonight given the weather? And am I right in saying the Cubs haven't played at Florida since Game 5 of the NLCS? Wasn't the washed-out trip to Florida the only one scheduled last year?

What's the over/under on combined at-bats by Murton, Greenburg, and Cedeno today?

Greenburg will pinch hit for the pitcher in the 9th, with 2 out, nobody on.

The season is done. It's time to prepare for 2006. Why didn't we finish the overhaul....get rid of Macias and Perez too. Bring up Theriot and Fontenot.

Ok...I know that's not going to happen.

Ok, can I hope for this line-up?

CF Hairston

RF Greeberg

1B Lee

3B Ramirez

2B Walker

LF Murton

SS Cedeno

C Barrett

Since Willis is pitching, I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict this lineup.

1. Hairston - CF

2. Neifi - 2B

3. Aramis - 3B

4. Burnitz - RF

5. Murton - LF

6. Hollandsworth - 1B

7. Barrett - C

8. Cedeno - SS

Something tells me Murton is starting his 1st game as a Cub today.

I'm going to dream:

(I'm assuming Lee won't start)

Hairston CF

Cedeno SS

Walker 2B

Ramirez 3B

Burnitz RF

Holla 1B

Barrett C

Murton LF

Won't happen. What will happen:

Perez 2B

Macias CF

Burnitz RF

Ramirez 3B

Holla LF

Walker 1B

Blanco C

Cedeno SS

Here's you're lineup for tonight:

Hairston CF

Neifi SS

Aramis 3B

Holla LF

Walker 1B

Burnitz RF

Macias 2B

Blanco C

Z

The rookies will get PH's for the pitchers' spots in the worst possible situations, and most stressful. We will score no runs, and lose 4-0. Z will go 5, 4 runs, 12 hits, 4 BB, 2 Ks.

There, I've predicted it, now it can't happen...
