I hope more players start spouting off, let's see some more disention (sp) in the ranks maybe the players will be able to force action to be taken.

This has to be the worst lineup I've seen since 2002.

This is even worse than the days in 2003 when Lenny Harris would lead off and Paul Bako was catching.

There was that day when Lenny Harris batted 5th. I remember it vividly. It was against the Pirates and the Cubs lost.

That happened last season.

We all saw what happened with the malcontents.

as an aside, corey should do a fine job in the 8th spot hitting ahead of the pitcher.

why not let him hit 9th ahead of perez and macias so he can use his speed and they can drive him in ? haha.

Watch us score eight runs.

I just can't root for Neifi and Macias. I can't.

We know what kind of players they are. If they go 10-10, it will hurt our team in the long run. This is tearing me up inside.

But you have to go with them because they're veterans. A veteran hitting .250 with an OBP of .290 is better than a rookie hitting .285 with an OBP of .320.

No guys, we got to stay behind Baker no matter what! He's the manager! He's awesome, dude!

Just waiting for someone to post this...

I backed Baker for awhile, but this is getting beyond protecting.

When I say it's time for a guy to go, it's time.

And you're crazy to even post those words. :D

Wow. I put up my suggested lineup finguring that it was about as bad as you could get. And I was actually bested by one Dusty F. Baker, Cubs manager and moron extraordinaire.

I will put this suggestion to everyone: from now on we should refer to Dusty as Dusty F. Baker, in homage to Bucky F. Dent and Aaron F. Boone.

I hate you, Dusty F. Baker. My wife, who still does not fully understand the concept of a force out vs. a situation in which the runner must be tagged, openly questions your managing decisions.

You flat out suck, Dusty F. Baker.

I haven't been disappointed in a Cubs loss for some time now, as ever loss makes it more likely that Baker is fired, but it's very depressing to have to try and pull for a lineup like this.

I don't hope they lose, but I won't be disappointed if they do.

Maybe Neifi and Macias will go 0-10 in a victory where Aramis hits a couple of solo home runs...

Of course Baker would probably still give them credit...

Are you joking me? This must be a joke? Even by Dusty's standards this is terrible. What a farce, this whole thing is jut utterly ridiculous right now. No words can express the anger I have towards this organization right now. Hendry grow some balls and fire this trash manager!!!

Yes, I can see it now, "If Neifi and Jose had gotten on base, then Aramis might have changed his approach at the plate, possibly causing him to not hit the two home runs, and we would have lost the game. Good job Neifi and Jose!"

I have reached the point where I would rather it not rain. I want it to remain sunny in Atlanta, and I want this team exposed for all to see. I want Perez and Macias to go a combine 0-8 with 7 strikeouts and a groundout to the pitcher. I want Smoltz to throw a no-no or at least a shutout (how couldn't he, facing this lineup?) And I want the tribune Co. to be so embarrassed by this loss that they have to fire Dusty F. Baker and blow up this horrible season afterward. Edited by sethuel1

It looks like we won't get the game in tonight, if I had to guess.
