I spoke to soon, I've heard that Jim Hendry, Dusty Baker, Jose Macias & Neifi Perez are going to go see "Herbie: Fully Loaded".

OK, I've had a little while to gather myself after the initial shock of that lineup. I've calmed down. My thoughts are now this:

 

Losing two games with pitiful lineups while keeping the rookies and possibly Hairston on the bench all day tomorrow with the exception of maybe a couple of pinch-hitting appearances will hopefully get Dusty F. Baker fired.

I believe Baker is feeling the heat for not going with Hairston and Walker as a result, to prove a point that no one tells him anything when it comes to his team we're seeing this mess of a lineup. He's so stubborn that he's willing to give away games to defend his vision or philosophy.

Hendry and MacPhail deserve just as much vitriol as Dustbag. They don't have the balls to fire him--that makes them equally (if not more) culpable. These jerks don't want to win, what do they care? Wrigley is always full and their contracts are guaranteed.

 

Once Wrigley is no longer at capacity every game, THEN, finally, MacPhail will get off his butt, call Hendry at the local bar, and tell him to put down the drink and fire Baker. Target date, unfortunately, isn't until September. But with this year already a lost cause, what the heck is two more months of pain....

I'm a little slow so forgive me, but I just realize that I saw Wednesday's "proposed" lineup, and it had Macias in OVER Hairston. I'm thinking is this....was starting Macias of Hairston a punishment towards Jerry and his "displeasure" over the lack of playing time, he mentioned through the media? I mean, other then that, I can't see a LEGIT reason to ever start Macias over Hairston, unless your trying to tank. So again, was this a punishment towards Jerry for running off the mouth about playing time?

Regardless, Dusty is an idiot. The only thing to figure out is HOW MUCH of a brainless moron is he?

 

If he starts Patterson>Hairston one could argue that he's an idiot because Hairston got on base 6/8 times in the first two games this series, but Patterson plays better DE.

 

If he starts Macias>Hairston Dusty has less brains than those in a mental ward.

 

Either way, Hairston should be starting EVERYDAY.
