He jumped from 11 starts 95 PA  in 2025 to 41 starts and 188 PA this year, he has only missed 3 games,  today the 4th.

 

I was thinking along the same lines, if it's mechanical there's the hope an off season of working/adjusting will correct.

As far as pitching matchups goes this series,  today is the best day for the bats , unless they can tee off against the Mis again tomorrow 😅

But on paper if they're going to win 1 of the 3 games, today is the best chance, if Boyd doesn't explode.

Cubs are due for their once a week shutout loss. They skipped last week so they’re catching up on it today.

Based on the league average of converting runner on 3rd less than 2 outs, the Cubs would have 15 more runs this year if they converted at least average.  I think the conversion is roughly 10 runs for 1 win, I could be wrong though.  But if true, simply being league average would give us 1.5 more win this year.

If we were the best team in baseball at converting, we'd have 41 more runs this year so just over 4 more wins.
