Over his last 65 games he has 6.5 war

That has to be up there with the best 65 game runs of all time

His walk rate jumped from 4.5% to currently 11.9%, that’s less than his jump from a 59 wRC+ versus left handed pitchers in 2025 to a 163 currently.

I don’t know where this ranks historically but he’s the Josh Allen of MLB players.

The best part about him is how one day he’s Ichiro going 2/4 with 2 singles and 2 stolen bases and the next day he’s Aaron judge going 3/5 with 2 homers, a double and 4 RBIs. He’s also good at defense too.

The best part about him is he's a Cub.

But seriously 333/440/695 over his last 300 PA.

Unfathomable.

Considering where he was at in April back when PCAAA was still a meme, it’s absolutely unfathomable.

Yeah that story is actually almost a year old, but it was an excellent read.

The guy can simply win games in more ways than anyone in baseball.  Another one today.

I'm still in awe Jed traded my favorite player for my favorite player. I horsefeathers on him often, but I couldn't be happier this is happening to Ol Stevie Cohen.

How horsefeathers lucky we are this season.

He’s a 5 tool player and a 6 tool player of clutch is a skill. He’s second in baseball in WPA in baseball with a 193 wRC+ with RISP.

There's pretty much no way PCA doesn't regress next year. Even if he's "only" a 7.0 fWAR player next year, it'll be a step back

I can't think of anything he doesn't do well on the baseball field.

The thing that gives me utmost confidence in him moving forward is that he absolutely mashes offspeed and breaking pitches. If he maintains his new approach hes at least a 130/7 war guy IMO.

per fWAR this is the 165th best offensive season since 1945 if he doesn't play another game. if you add in his ROS projections, which are obviously deflated, you're looking at roughly the 50th best season over that time frame. if you let him continue his current YTD pace over the remaining 42 games, it's the 13th best season in the last 80+ years.
