why are you guys worried? Zambrano's gem he pitched against the Brewers was with Barrett catching. I prefer Barrett catching Z anyway...he calls for the heat more and lays off the breaking stuff.

Hmm...little worried about Barrett pitching to Z, as well as Neifi hitting ahead of Barrett, but I'll take it

Yeah, i wonder what Dusty was thinking. Why take the chance of getting Z hurt by having him catch? With the way the offense has performed the first two games of the series we will need Barrett in there. Good move letting him pitch...sacrifice the pitching a bit but boost the offense.

Dusty was worried about protection for Ramirez and yet he leaves him in the 5th spot with Hollandsworth and Perez behind him? No reason for the order not to be Hairston, Walker, Lee, Ramirez, Burnitz, Barrett, Hollandsworth, and Perez.

Did you guys e-mail Dusty to have JHJR & Walker bat #1 & #2?

Great line-up today by Dusty. Hopefully the Cubs will cash in & CPatt will be permantly moved to utility OF. I rejoice when he's not in the line-up. Offensively, he hurts this team, kind of like Sosa does with the O's.

Hollandsworth has been hitting well lately. But I agree with you Ramirez should be 4th.

Other than Neifi and Barrett switched around, I like what I see here. Now lets generate some serious offense and convince Dusty to keep this lineup out there.

While I like the fact that Dusty finally changed the top of the order I would have liked to see Patterson face Drese today. Drese only has 27 Ks in 88.2 IP, something would have had to give.

On a side note...isn't there any way we can DL Corey and have him make a few "rehab" starts in AAA? I can't help but root for the kid.

Nomar to talk with Brenly on the Leadoff Man.

man i hate nomar. i know he is really hurt but we have had him for parts of two years and never once have i really felt like he was a cub. he is like the dating a really hot girl, but never going out with her because she is always to busy.

I'd also like to say that I have no idea why Dusty is benching Corey for a couple of days after several games of looking much better at the plate. I love the logic.

yeah but the boo birds were really going to be on him after that pop up on the 2-0 count with two guys on.

I don't know, he worked a couple decent AB's yesterday, but he's still not making much contact lately.

He has for the past couple of weeks, but it's still not much. And if Ramirez is hitting 4th, you'd likely split up the lefties with Barrett in the 6 spot. It's a better lineup.

this is dusty we are dealing with though so we should just be happy after two months we finally have our 1-2 guys were they need to be.

yeah but the boo birds were really going to be on him after that pop up on the 2-0 count with two guys on.

And that is why booing is terrible. He could have easily been on base 4 times on Friday if Welke got some glasses and yet he's booed for taking pitches out of the zone in 3-2 counts. If you're want an player to improve, don't hate him when he does it.

I love how a select percentage of fans can dictate what happens. Especially since based on my experiences at Wrigley, most of them are drunk and not paying much attention to the game. They're just waiting for a chance to boo him.

I don't boo any of our players unless I feel they aren't trying. I have played enough baseball to know how freaking hard it is to do what they are doing at that level. Dusty however, is open field.

To be fair though, Neifi has a better batting average than Barrett. If holla can keep his hot streak alive I may be in love with this lineup. I wouldnt mind seeing Burnitz switched with ARam, but why move ARam around when he is really starting to hit in the spot he is at.

Completely idiotic. This is the second time Corey has shown strides of improvement and Dusty has sat him.

He's hit well for over a month. He hit around .350 for the month of June.
