Its wild to think about the money in future contracts they’ve lit on fire this year. Complete opposite of turning it up in a walk year lol.

Happ will probably end up in line with his 2022-24 numbers after having a meh season last year if he keeps this up.  At the rate things are going, though, he might be the only Cubs FA this upcoming offseason to get a multi-year deal (probably from the Cubs), unless Boyd shows out and stays healthy.

When league average is taken into account Happ was exactly the same player he was last year as he has been basically his entire career. About 15% to 20% above leave average. How is last year meh and the others good? Happ is a good player who has end numbers very consistent and virtually always 15-20% over leave average.

Happ gets his numbers, but it just you usually need to go through a week to 10 days of blahness in between his 2-4 days of awesome.  Lol

Theres usually no in-between with him 😅

I was going by fWAR in terms of comparing his 2025 to 2022-24, when he was almost 1 WAR off his peak in 2025 compared to 2022.  Not saying he slumped, just that he had a dip.

You'll hear zero complaints about Happ from me.  He's the one guy I *want* this team to re-sign in the offseason.

Padres have designated 1B/OF Nick Castellanos for assignment and selected the contract of INF/OF Samad Taylor from Triple-A El Paso. Taylor will wear No. 0.

Hmmm.. lol

Cheap option for Jed to use him at DH and hope for something, and if not just dump him 🤷

If we were building an all-hair team I'd sign him up

He and Dansby will bat 1 and 2.

Not disagreeing,  but this is pretty much a type of move Hoyer would make to try and fix a situation.

Counsell is really doubling down with that middle of order, moved Swanson up to 6th.

Hes gonna provide great protection for Happ there 🙄🙄🙄😅
