What was said

JD never got to 10 Years service time - which is significant for pension calculation - probably why he's announcing.  I'm sure Boog has asked him at least 3 times about it.  "You don't have 10 years service time???"  He's a little salty on the subject.

I just glanced at Miz’s stats - dude has nine strikeouts after 4.0 innings. Kid is a machine. That would be cool to have a shutdown Ace. 🤔

What an impressive horsefeathers outing by Brown.  Honestly, he's one of the only guys right now that gives me any enthusiasm about this team.  If he becomes a true ace, it changes a lot.

Yes, it does, and the cool thing about it is that nobody expected this.  Ben has been great.

Who would the Cubs get from the Pirates if they traded Happ to them ?

Parts of 12 years.  Not the same as service time.

Jim Deshaies played 12 major league seasons, which equates to roughly 12 full years of major league service time. He pitched for six teams from 1984 through 1995, logging an 84-95 win-loss record, 951 strikeouts, and a 4.14 ERA across 257 games.

🤷
