Great start by Boyd, but now Harvey is spoiling it

Looks like he got a couple groundballs, one kind of found the exact right spot and then Bregman blew the other.

Harvey got two playable ground balls.  The defense wasn't up to snuff.

Come on Bregman, what the heck?  Not an easy play but that's a couple so far I thought he could have gotten and hasn't.

Yeah and making the not-so-easy plays is part of the so-called hot corner.  That one should have been caught.

Now's when you want some real questionable scheist to happen to the Angels just to drive them insane not being able to challenge.

Nico should be hitting top two every game, lefty or not on the mound.

Who does he replace? Busch or Bregman? I am fine with him 5th against a right handed pitcher.

Just noticed there was alot of early games today, strange to see cubs still playing a 120 start while other games are over..lol

I mentioned before,  I dont mind too much with leading Busch off against RHers, so id like to see a top 3...

Someone needs to tell PCA that it’s impossible to hit .1000 in Baseball. There is no need for him to get frustrated after every AB where he doesn’t get a base hit.

Damn, don't remember seeing a team struggle a whole series catching flyballs like the Nats in this one

Either the Angels are really bad at fielding or they have adopted beer drinking during games.

I like the line up they use better. Not sure why they drop Happ against a right handed pitcher. The way you are suggesting leaves Suzuki, PCA and Happ in some order 4th thru 6th. I think Happ is better against right handed pitching that Nico. So why not have him earlier.
I would like to see Busch, Bregman, Happ, Suzuki, PCA, Nico, Mo, Swanson then catcher. That would be my line up against a right handed pitcher.

Through 6 games

Cubs Batters: 21.5% K, 13.2% BB

Cubs Pitchers: 28.2% K, 8.8% BB

That will play. Boyd looked really good today. Nice to see.

The lineup will be fine. Right now half of it sucks fat ass.

Suzuki coming back and batting clean up will help as well. As I said, I am fine with Busch, Bregman, Happ starting it off. I agree, the offense will be fine.

Angels manager had a rough series.  First manager job for him i see, still learning i guess.

Also, i think Trout could use a change of scenery

Yeah good start.  Must kinda suck pitching in this weather.  I used to like it because you wouldn't sweat, but I wasn't a pitcher.

Praying Taillon gains a tick in warmer weather, but unlikely.  The velo faded in the 2nd half of his start too.  He seemed to use his cutter more, which could help.  Rotation looking good so far, and Brown pitching well.
