Same for my adult baseball league. And less "dogging it" but more "I don't need everyone to see data on what a 38-year old looks like on that level"

I'm barely holding it together at this point.

I vividly remember the moment I realized that I was afraid to run full speed because I was no longer confident in my ability to stop.

We don't run out ground balls much any more. Either the dad at 2b is going to boot that ball and I'll have all day, or he's going to toss me.

Love seeing Conrad out there this early.  Makes it seem more likely he's fully healthy and can hopefully proceed right to South Bend on Opening Day.

My apologies if the photos are blurry. I have a new phone but old eyes. Also, not super easy taking photos through fencing.

It's not a dig, for years we've gotten blurry photos of the backfields or just players working out at ST. Feels like tradition. Thanks for sharing!

Conrad looking like a tank

I don't know...he needs a little more length on those shorts to be taken seriously.  Looks like he's headed out to center court to rally with Jimmy Connors.

They were probably already going to need a SP, feels like they might need to be the team that comes hat in hand for Gallen now.

The Braves have a long history of pitchers with arm problems.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it!

Honestly they're not much different on the position player side.  The quintessential "it's not who you play it's when you play them" team the last few years.

Would it really be that hard for them to tweak the design of these catapult-type devices for these poor fellas so to not look exactly like sports bras?

More Iowa depth. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2023 because of injuries.

Has some promise though

Looks like some injury reports are starting to be announced around the league as pitchers/ catchers report.

Hopefully the Cubs do ok like last year.

This post is from last night, so this presser is this AM.  Presumably we should get any injury news and probably some vibes around how much they're still looking to do in FA.
