Hairston takes 8 pitches Corey takes 1.

Corey falls below .240.

Corey - swung at a fastball strike right down the middle but missed it

Hairston - struck out on a ball way out of the strike zone that would have been ball four

Corey has been missing alot of pitches right down the middle...along with his normal diet of high fastballs..

I'd take Hairston's at bat everytime. Hairston ran the count full, then struck out on a good pitch. Corey fouled out to the catcher on the first pitch.

The ball Hairston swung at was nearly in the dirt.

I like it when people swing at meaty strikes and watch balls. I don't care what the count is.

Barrettgasm!!!

i like what he does when he hits a homer too and when he knows it...just puts his head down and doesn't show up the pitcher. Very classy gesture by Barrett :)

D Lee is winning the all-star balloting now by 49,000. That's awesome.

I've put my votes in today, but guess I'll see if I can find some other email addresses to use! Need to get a bigger lead built up!

And I like it when guys get on base more than 28% of the time. Therefore I'll give Hairston more credit for his pitch selection.

Good lord is Maddux throwing beach balls up there today? 9 hits through 4?

Also, Dusty...his name is Ronnie Cedeno, he is your starting Shortstop for the duration of the year (barring Nomar being 100%)

No longer Cy Maddux... more like Sigh, Maddux. ERA is creeping up toward 5.00.

Board is slow as hell today... WTF?

The board is under a denial of service attack right now. The regular board has been temporarily disabled while I work on things. Premium members still have access.
