Looks like Mitre's approach out of the 'pen is to throw that big breaking ball more. He doesn't have his hard sinker, which is to be expected. Unfortunately, this could likely mean that he'll give up more HRs.

Like I said...

Uh, good call.

He was hit by a pitch. A precautionary measure.

Sorry, I'm not watching and Gamecast. Where was he hit? Did it look bad?

On his left leg, above the armor and the below of the knee.

Stop talking, Jon.

It's just so frustrating that Hendry can't see the obvious here. Sergio should not be in the 'pen.

He's a sinker ball pitcher with control issues, for goodness sake.

Well, Cedeno can play 3B too. I'd better not see Macias there tomorrow.

Please stop being the MeatBALL tray, Sergio. :x

Has Sergio thrown any hard sinkers yet? All of his fastballs have been as straight as a pitch can be.

Sigh.

Please get off your ASS and tell MEAT TRAY to get that last out, Larry.

Okay, getting Sergio out of there is better. Who is Remmy facing?

Aaaaaaaand we're bringing in Remlinger to face a lefty.

In all fariness, though, I think Milwaukee made the switch after Remmy was announced.

I agree that Mitre doesn't belong in the bullpen. But control problems? I thought one of his strong assets was the lack of bases on balls. His problem is too much contact, and when you are a sinkerballer coming out of the pen, it can be hard to get the necessary downward movement on your fastball to turn that contact into weak grounders.
