Maddux gives up a lot of homers these days, so I hate to put an extra runner on in the first inning for Overbay. IBB to Lee is a 5th inning on sort of thing, not a 1st inning thing.

If you want to blame somebody, blame Madux for laying a meatball in there. I can't remember the last time I saw an intentional walk in the 1st inning.

I was right about to post the same thing. You can always pitch around a guy, but to intentionally walk someone in the first inning? Especially with an always dangerous overbay up next?
