Thus far, I know none of Poles draftees have been pro-bowlers.  He'll have at least, one this season, Darnell Wright, who may be the best RT in football.

4th best T overall according to pff

There's definitely a double standard beyond just draft position when it comes to Caleb and McCarthy.  Thus far, regardless of playing time, Caleb >>>> McCarthy yet, you wouldn't know it from just following the media.

Pretty sly for a white guy

Plus that awesome tumble while running to celebrate Loveland' TD.

Geeze your son is doing just fine in the offense.  Let him develop and be a part of it.  I know it’s dad being dad but Rome is good. He just didn’t get the targets yesterday. But he’s clearly a guy Caleb trusts.

And, after watching some film, he had a very good day blocking, Dad should take some pride that his son didn't play prima donna and sulk.  Instead, he chose to play football and very much contributed to a win.

He's just raging into the void but its funny to do this when Rome has the most targets of any receiver on the Bears.

He'll be fine by the end of the season I'm sure. As ever, social media is a mistake

Wonder how hard 10 targets, 7 catches for 96 yards and a TD was to watch for Harrison SR.

A great point.  Rome is a good blocker!  It's such an underappreciated skill for WRs.

Probably because they beat the Lions in Detroit otherwise, there isn't much else to go on.

McCarthy was also pretty mediocre against the Bears. I, too, do not understand the hype of J.J. McCarthy.

I have no idea why McCarthy is getting so much fanfare for a mediocre to bad game.

Yeah I don;t know why he gets all the hype. He beats the Bears in week 1 on a comeback and is named player of the week.

Based on one good quarter against a not so good Bears defense.

Only 3 OTs make the probowl for each conference. A guy usually needs an injury to make the roster. The NFC guys are Penei, Lane Johnson, and Wirfs. Brian O'Neill and Taylor Decker were alternates last year and are ahead of Wright in the pecking order (as is a healthy Trent Williams).

Even if Wright never makes a pro bowl, he's looking like a damn good pick. And for as maligned as Poles' record, free agent signings, Eberflus loyalty, and 3rd round picks have been.....the Bears look like they are going to have:

The franchise's 1st 4000 yard passer
A 1000 yard WR
A top 5-10 OT in the league out of their top 10 picks Poles has made.

And that doesn't include Loveland who just put up 118, 2 TDs, including a GW (edit: and now reigning Offensive Player of the Week)

Those are the ones that MUST be hit on and Poles is well on his way to 4 for 4 there.

Brilliant use of social media by the Bears to put out a 2 minute video of Rome making great blocks and getting big kudos for doing so during the game.
