Who are they replacing Reichel with?

Slaggert was just activated. They've also been rolling with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen, which is working.

Definitely one step closer to calling up another kid though, Moore or Lardis will be here by new year

I did not expect 4 straight hawks goals, 3 unanswered Senators goals and then three more for hawks. Hatty and 4 points for Bedard. Nazar with a shorty. Crevier contributed, Rinzel and Bertuzzi were feisty.

perhaps most importantly that was a game you cannot accuse Knight of stealing the win. That was the the skaters

First win of the post Reichel era, too

you could really feel that hat trick coming. i want bedard to be a superstar more than any chicago athlete

His game has improved by leaps and bounds from where it was even last year. He's been more defensively responsible. He's winning more draws. He just "looks different" this season.

Yeah I don't know if anyone uses this site: https://moneypuck.com/teams.htm but a majority of the stats seem to suggest the Hawks have gotten very fortunate this year (their GD to xGD difference is the largest in the league for one).  Many of the statistics still have the Hawks looking like a bottom 10 team but at least one thats closer to the top of the bottom 10, which is an improvement for sure.

They held the top wild card spot in the west until last night, and now they are tied with Vancouver (with one game in hand) for the 3rd position. They do still have a positive goal differential, but let’s see how long that lasts when they go into Edmonton without their two best defensive forwards.  This could get ugly but I’m still hopeful they can remain interesting

That they are all playing with heart and we’re seeing development with the under-25s is all I really care about this year. Whatever they do in the standings is just a bonus.

I look forward to Derwood's head exploding when the Hawks move up from #11 to #1 in the draft.

It will just never be Columbus. Bettman will never allow it

Oliver Moore has been called up.

Taken one year after Nazar and 6 picks later in the first, he gets called up 6 weeks earlier than Nazar was last season.

he’s ostensibly replacing Jason Dickinson who goes on IR. But is he going to get some top 6 time? Or will Blashill just use the 11/7 lineup to get Moore some time with Nazar and Bedard through the game as a modified 4th line?

He should get time in the top 6. That’s what should happen. I’m not familiar enough with Blashill to know how he likes to break in the young kids, though. I say put him with Bedard. See what he can do with that speed playing alongside your best skill player.

He was on Donato's line and he looked amazingly fast. Got some good shots off in his first action of the season in the NHL. I hope he sticks when Dickinson comes back. They might need to rearrange some of these lines to create better scoring opps. Last night was pretty rough. Plenty of shots on goal, just not really that many good looks.

Moore was fast. He would also routinely find himself in front of the net w/o a decent pass. Wonder what he could do with Bedard

soderblom sucked. The first goal was nothing more than a long pass and it caught him looking clueless.

Climate Pledge is very cool. I wish the Sonics were around to play a game in it

I can accept that, but from our view it was a lob. he did have a nice stop with his skates in the third.

The Kraken goalie was unbelievable. Everytime there was a rebound he was reset and ready to grab the puck or defend a second shot
