It wouldn't suck to add McKenna and Frondell to to the top line next season. That probably wouldn't help them win games next year, but it sure would help going forward.

Not sure why that wouldn’t help them win games. Aside from their individual abilities, allowing them to slot middle six and bottom six guys lower in the lineup rather than higher may be the biggest impact. 2 entry level contracts and Bedards manageable extension (assuming) will also make it easy to afford some other quality forward to slot into top six role (although they probably won’t do that)

I'm just assuming that adding two first year (teenage) players to the top line would result in a lot of mistakes being made and extra goals allowed. But you're right that it would slot everyone else into much more appropriate roles.

Actually had NHL, MLB, NFL and NBA on my wall of tv's last night, so that was fun. Didn't have the sound on for the Hawks game, but they sure left a lot of pucks sitting around the crease way too long last night. I think two of the goals were from pucks just sitting there and the Bruins getting to them before the Hawks did.

Rinzel has made some mistakes — chalk it up to inexperience — but man he looks good. It’s clear he’s already putting it together. We’ve got a stud on our hands.

Sounds like Lev showed his immaturity against Boston and this scratch is punishment.

I’m good with that. I like Blashill so far. Team showed some heart against Boston.

That game was painful to watch in between pitches of the Cubs game. Every time I looked at the screen the Hawks were short handed. Some of those tripping calls seemed pretty ticky tack.

The old school fan in me absolutely hates when a clean open-ice hit results in an immediate fight, but credit to Crevier for being the one to jump in.

Dickinson is back on the ice today. Skating with Foligno and Reichel.

Knight will be in goal tonight versus Utah.

That’s a surprise after Blashill said he’d probably miss a week

That's what I was looking for. Gonna have to try to watch it again sometime today. Was up at 1am to get my wife to the airport. Got through most of the first period before I ran out of gas.

So, St. Louis has had two home games. First one was a shut out and the second one was a football score. Gotta love it.
