If it is the end for Ryno, I am going to cry. As a kid, he was my guy. I played 2B because of him. I hope this is not the end.

I'm still holding out hope that he is just going through a rough stretch of treatment and everyone in the Cubs organization wants to show their support while he fights though it.  But it doesn't really feel that way...

That Ryno was able to see his statue dedication and receive the love from the fans that day was a blessing.

And the players too. How they lined up along the railing for him to watch the ceremony was the ultimate sign of respect and one of the coolest things I have seen at an MLB ballpark.

That might have been gone if the wind wasn't blowing in yet again.  Or if the CF tried a Peanut punch to jar the ball free.

It's really weird that 2 years in a row we've gotten a significant percentage of games with the wind blowing in.  Historically its split pretty evenly between out, in and crosswind.

Yes! I had forgotten about the players coming out to watch. That was an incredible moment.

LF took a rib shot for no good reason

Is there ever a good reason to give your teammate a rib shot? 😂

that was probably a 5 star attempt, you just expect him to make those at this point and its shocking when he doesn't catch it

Horton is missing the zone by a mile

Yeah im not liking his command at all this inning, especially against the bottom of the order.  Has given up some hard hit balls today too.

Edit: By no means criticizing the performance, just that he's gotten a bit lucky while in general pitching effectively.  For instance the 3 hardest hit balls and 6 of the top 9 have been hit by the Red Sox and only 1 has been a hit

Cade looked really good early on, but that should probably be it for him for the day with the top of the order coming up and the hard contact he’s given up the last two innings

Cade’s been really good the last month or so - very impressed with how he’s hung in there when it’s been difficult

that should be his day and we should scratch a few more across
