Imanaga seems like he is a couple ticks low on his fastball velocity. He is gonna get rocked at 89 mph.

That’s what I thought too. Pitches weren’t in terrible spots. But major leaguers are going to hit 89 MPH fastballs wherever they are in the zone

Somebody needs to explain to Armstrong about preventing the runner from getting into scoring position.

2 outs, catcher running, shortish fly ball, I don’t mind him selling out there for a play at the plate.

Really surprised there hasn't been a single move yet across the league that wasn't basically waiver wire fodder for organizational depth. I know we still have 23 days until the deadline, but I still can't believe not even a mid tier trade has happened yet.

Lotta teams still in WC mode, there should be some movement after the break

So nice that Boog has traveled more over the last few road series. He might not be a lot of people’s cup of tea, but he’s the best colour announcer the Cubs have.

The 89 MPH fastball is concerning.

Could not agree more.  Hamstring?

Come on don’t let this horsefeathers shut us out

Yeahhhh he’s in a rhythm now. Quit swinging at the first pitch. Make him work.

It could honestly be anything. I know when Ryan Weathers had his velocity down, it was due to a lat strain, which landed him on the 60-day IL.

Imanaga is fine, but he's pitching with little room for any mistakes. One thing Cubs can't do is to go down 2-0 in the 7th, and then it's basically over from there.

The only benefit to Imanaga throwing 89 is that it looks like a rising fastball, so it's missing some barrels.

They look pretty bad up there . Running out of outs before they get into that bullpen .

their 8/9 inning guys are great, but there's a lot of "meh" in there
