Could definitely try to toss him out there in the second or third given his struggles in the first inning. I'd be surprised if they give him a ton of leash, though. He's really struggling right now.

I dont get the difference by using an opener in the first  inning and then going with the regular starter , just to not face the top of order in the first inning and instead facing them in the 3rd when there's a good possibility they can come up with runners on base.

Ok I think the Carson Kelly in the middle of the order experiment should be over. 

.511 OPS his last 52 PA. Which isn’t a large sample size and I think his batted ball profile has been ok but his career sample size is large enough to say this is likely regression

I've been a Brown naysayer, then I see what he can do with his breaking stuff and think he can improve.  He's not a Rea, who just flat out sucks, Brown has a higher ceiling.
