For those looking to throw a few bucks on NL MVP, PCA is still 14-1 at Bet Rivers.  Crazy,  I know it will probably go to Ohtani but if he keeps this up you never know

PCA pace is 44 HR, 44 SB and 145 RBI. While playing Platinum Glove defense in CF.

To think when this year started we just wanted him to hit enough to keep his glove in the lineup.

That grand slam was confusing. I was watching with no sound and people over for cocktails, and PCA just stood there and no one reacted. Couldn't see the ball at all, and it was only when the Cubs bullpen guys started jumping up and down before I had any clue it was gone. Really surreal and unique moment.

When the Cubs stroll into Detroit in a few weeks, it could be a battle of the 2 best teams in baseball, record wise.  Hopefully they can take all 3 vs. the Rockies.

They might not get what we hope but I don’t think it will be because of money. They are far under the LT line. They can’t get to that amount. So I don’t see spending to be the issue. I think finding a guy available is a problem and I also am not sure they will partnwith what another team wants. Among the obvious reasons I would like to see them extend Tucker now is so they know who they can trade to help the team. If Tucker and PCA are assured of being here for the next 5 years they can trade Alcantara and Cassie. I don’t like ownership either. But in this case I don’t see them being cheap as the reason they don’t trade for someone at the deadline. For the record, who are these TOR arms and closers people expect the Cubs to go after? What teams are selling TOR or closer pitchers? &nbsp
