Well this is certainly a take. I know Vargas has had a good month, but damn.....

Really? 2023 - #30, 37 and 39 Baseball America, MLB and Baseball Prospectus is it that much of a reach?

He's 2 years older, has less years of team control and has a career 74 wRC+ in 767 PAs. I'm not letting a month of good at bats distract me from that.

Hey, you have to beat the bad teams. Sweeps are not easy against any team. AND the cardinals lost….

If I'm not mistaken in the two series immediately prior to this one the Sox took 2 of 3 from both the Reds and Mariners?  So yeah, the sweep is good.

Also, just look to LA this weekend. Angels swept the Dodgers in Dodgers stadium.

Anytime an MLB team sweeps another in a three-game series its an accomplishment.

Before the series with the Cubs, the White Sox had taken two of three from the Reds and the Marlins (not the Mariners).

Sweeps are indeed sweet. Coming off a 1-5 homestand, this weekend the Mariners swept the Padres, who entered the series in San Diego with a 27-15 record.
