He's set up for a W in his Wrigley debut and had a nice last inning. We know W's are dumb stats, but they mean something to the guys still, I think. Let him leave on a high.

May be a mostly dumb stat, but the first win is definitely a career accomplishment that every pitcher covets.

It would be his second. He got the win in NY.

So weird how you can get a win for pitching 4 innings as long as someone pitches for at least 1 batter before you come in.

Has Berti done anything positive at the plate this year?

At least he's not kicking the ball all over the place right now, compared to what they've had at 3B, that's enough.

I don’t think this is true. You have to be the pitcher of record at the end of the 5th and the team not lose the lead after that. If someone faces one batter and is replaced, if that replacement doesn’t thru 5 he doesn’t get the win.. or am I mistaken?🤷

Horton got it through some sort of scorekeepers discretion clause. The rules get funky.

failed prospect Cade Horton with a quality start and no walks with the wind howling out. Why can’t all these guys just throw strikes and also get tons of whiffs and also not throw anything too hittable, is that too much to ask

Perfect game to get Pressley some work in the 7th inning

I don’t really like that idea. Wind blowing out any lead is not safe.

Not a quality start, only went 5 IP.  Absolutely failed prospect.

5 run lead against a weak hitting team.  If he's terrible after 3 batters pull him.  I don't hate it.
