A fun win last night, though Ballesteros was pretty disappointing in his debut, which is understandable. I doubt he gets the start tonight against a lefty.

Listen, I get that Javy was very exciting last night and the Cubs can always use that kind of energy, but we can't use the Tigers players in Cubs games. 😜

I'll take Skubal for the Cubs.

Weathers looked pretty solid in his rehab starts and got up to 17 batters last time out, so assume there won't be much of a restrictor here. Having said that, despite the top prospect background he hasn't been very good at any point in the majors, so hopefully Suzuki, Dansby, Kelly, and dare I say Turner jump on the lefty, Taillon gives us his normal performance and Keller/Hodge do the rest.

Hope the game is played as you drew it up🤞👍

Luzardo mowing down the Cardinals, still don't understand why the Cubs couldn't match the equivalent of what the Phillies gave up.

I hate this new "all night games during the week" thing at Wrigley

* and by new, I mean compared to the 90's, I know it's been going on for awhile

I'd argue The Cubs offered more than the Cabada/Boyd deal the Marlins got.

Medicals disrupted this, sounds like it could have been medicals on both sides of it. But the Cubs made a strong offer with a Top 100 prospect.

Such a lame excuse most especially with the Cubs in a supposed win now mode.  Winning sometimes requires a little risk taking, Hoyer took one with Tucker.  Should have pulled the trigger on Luzardo regardless.

Depends what the medicals looked like, but also I believe the Marlins also had issues with the player on the other side of it. If that's the case you can't force them to make the deal.

I love it.  Much better than box score refreshing at work.

1 run allowed and 7 innings and the Cardinals will still probably win their 10th in a row.

It's annoying as hell, at some point the schedule is going to catch up to the Cardinals.

Phillies take the lead.. but the Cardinals already have the tying and go ahead runs on base with nobody out in the 8th.

Arenado pops up and Contreras K's looking.  I it's the randomness of baseball and all but, would it kill that horsefeathers Castellanos to something against the Cardinals?  Dipshit is dead red against the Cubs but, is an automatic out for the Cardinals.

There's one, Romano strikes out the side.  Hopefully, loss number two is eminent.

Really was a perfectly placed FB that struck out Contreras, don't believe he could have done much with that pitch even had he swung.

Cardinals lose on two infield singles, lol

Same kind of BS that helped the Diamondbacks to that big 8th inning a few weeks ago.

Mariner fans (they do exist) think tonight's pitcher is going to be their best one soon.

Let's hope we can SOMEHOW win a 3rd game at Wrigley!!
