While May's numbers are sparkling probably worth noting the three offenses he's seen rank 21st, 23rd, and 29th in wRC+.

Between that and tomorrow's game being some sort of opener/bullpen game deal, shouldn't be too tough to get a split and there's a decent chance at grabbing both.

Wish I had this much optimism. I am actually hoping for a split.

Finish up April going 4-3 the last 7 games of the month. 18-13 would be an awesome record for who they faced. I know May starts with a Skenes game and then Brewers, Giants and Mets, but it then gets easier. And I am not so sure the Brewers and the Giants are that good. Get through April and start distancing themselves from the division and maybe put themselves in a spot to be a top 2 team in the playoffs.

Workman is garbage, that's 2 costly errors he's made out there in a week and he surely doesn't contribute anything on offense.  They can find someone else to give high 5s and slap butts in the dugout.  Send this bum back to AAA or the YMCA league

Seiya is killing it. Love to see it.

Both of the Cubs' Japanese investments have paid major dividends.  I really wish they got Shota for that 5th year because he will be expensive to keep once he hits free agency in a few years

Between May’s look and having to listen to Alex Cohen, two of my senses are under a full on assault.

At the time he signed, I felt as though Shota was a mere consolation prize, but he has quickly become one of my favorite Cubs. I really hope we don’t play poor when his contract expires, and I really hope he keeps producing at a rate that’ll justify an expensive contract.
