Now that Steele is out for the season , I go back to when the Cubs were interested in Luzardo during the offseason .

So far he has been amazing . Velo is up again . Oh well

100 percent brother.  The price tag was so reasonable on him too

Fairly big earthquake just hit relatively close to San Diego (I've seen 5.7-6.0 in magnitude).  Doesn't seem to be any major damage (though its early, just happened less than 30 mins ago) but I'm sure the Cubs felt it.

False alarm, was just Tucker taking BP.

There are a lot of variables at work, obviously, but it seems hard to overstate how different this lineup is now that Tucker is on the team. He's like a force multiplier.

It's really nice to have a lineup strong enough where there's a different hero every night and some guys can afford to be in inevitable slumps.

Sutcliffe uses 125 words to tell us the Padres bullpen is very good.

Dude loves the sound of his own voice. Only Girardi is worse

Shaw looks awful, id say send him down but they have nothing to replace him with

Let him work through it. He's a much better hitter than he's shown so far. Some of the best prospects in the game have been completely disrespected by the big leaguers, ie Holliday and Crews. Personally I would have a much longer leash.

he's played some great defense too.  I remember that error in the March series vs the Dodgers but can't remember another one since
