He didnt have to deal with the Cubs anymore? What does that even mean? He loved playing in the Cubs. So much so that he talks up the organization to other Japanese players. I doubt he was relieved to be traded. What did the Cubs ever do to Darvish that would make him want to leave?

Because we’re a mess and our fans treated him like ass

"Not great" is being kind. Bryant has been an expensive black hole of a roster spot. Of course few would have predicted just how little production he would provide going forward. Bryant scared me because of his propensity to be derailed  by minor injuries, but I didn't see it getting this bad.

The problem with the Bryant/Rizzo/Baez trades is that they weren't made earlier.

If it wasn’t for Rendon with the Angels - the Bryant contract would be called maybe the worst present contract?

no he didnt, he hated it and he hated you

True story- Darvish’s neighbor sued him for putting up a wood fence instead of an iron fence at his house in Evanston.

Please show where Darvish ever suggested he hated Chicago. Pretty sure he spoke well of the city when talking with Suzuki and Imanaga. But if you do have something that backs your comment I would love to see it.

I like how they talk about all these ****** pitchers the Cubs brought in for ST to get work as “depth”.

I honestly don’t understand it. Most have the option to walk if they don’t make the team. Which most likely none will. So how do they end up depth? 🤷

Did Sweenis just talk about being a big fan of "Ryan" Sandburg?

Ryne Sanderson, as Harry Carey would call him sometimes..lol

Alcantara has a nice balanced swing

Yeah I just hope this is the year he starts hitting the ball in the air more.
