I've taught middle school of fourteen years. Baseball forum is the most even keeled place that I frequent daily. Not a single one of you attempted to use a four hour old hot dog you smuggled out of the lunch room as a tool in your Ted Talk.

You don't know that for sure. 😜

Scott Kingery/Tim Anderson/Jorge Soler as your 1-2-3 is peak February spring training.

Also Cam Smith only went 1/3 with a single AND a strikeout, so we're back to winning the trade.

I just saw Tucker strike out in a spring training game so therefore he's terrible and a waste of assets. 😡

Bro puts on #30 in pinstripes and becomes 2014 Mike Olt. 😡

They have their own station and can't even provide coverage for these games 🙄

It annoys me that Sloan Park broadcasts don't have a radar gun.  When the Cubs played at the Dodgers complex this year they showed the gun readings.  I'm sure there's several guns behind homeplate, just hook one up for month.

Traintos has a beautiful swing.  He's MLB material offensively.  Eyeball test says he seems to have more pop than e.g. Nico too.  Maybe a 10-15 HR guy hopefully.

He’s one of my favorite prospects. Very articulate and well-spoken kid. Great work ethic.

(I like triantos but he probably needs to put up at least a league average AAA line or hit even one home run there before we consider him ready to contribute)

He's young so it could change but there's not really any evidence Triantos has more power than Hoerner to this point.

Today's game against the Rangers will have audio and MLB.TV. Probably not Pat and Ron though.

EDIT: apparently audio only- Zademan and Coomer

To be fair, a lot of guys hit Jack Leiter hard.

Wow, I knew his initial stint in the big leagues wasn't great but hadn't looked closely.  Good lord

Cristian Hernandez hit a 106 MPH triple.  It went 360 feet to the opposite field on a line

If he finally breaks out that's probably the funnest thing that could happen on the farm this year outside of Iowa.

Following up on this.

Seiya Suzuki's been our best power hitter the last few years, especially in terms of power to all fields.  He has topped out at 115.5 MPH, and he has 114 balls hit in the air at least 106 MPH the last three years.  If you limit him to just balls in the air and to the opposite field, he tops out at 110.0 and only has 9 balls at/above 106.

Ian Happ only has one such ball , and it was just over the threshold at 106.5.  Kyle Tucker has none!

Cristian Hernandez appears to have big boy power, he's a true shortstop and he just turned 21.  Exciting stuff.
