has anything actually insightful ever been imparted from a press conference? I mean, sometimes you can find out how stupid a coach/GM is from what they say, but has the reverse ever been true. has anyone listened to a press conference and got something important or intelligible from it? It's all just coachspeak aphorisms.

I think Belichick had it right. Feed the press/public horsefeathers and keep them in the dark.

The Dan Campbell slander is downright laughable. First of all, his players LOVE him. He’s not the kind of coach like Thibs or Ditka who can grate on people at all. Second, he’s just had the two most successful seasons in franchise history. He ain’t going anywhere for a long time. And if Detroit does something stupid like cut him loose too early plenty of other teams will be happy to give him a second chance. Matt horsefeathers Nagy is getting interviews for fucks sake.

I'll stand by my personal opinion of Dan Campbell: His horsefeathers will work really well until it doesn't, and when it blows up, its gonna blow up bad.

Sure but his success so far gets him at least one more HC gig.  He’s not sinking into oblivion for awhile.

Yep. Let's see what he can do without Glenn and Johnson.

You know, for as much as we punted, and for as well as he apparently did, I rarely felt the impact of his punts. (This probably has much more to do with how bad the offense was and how bad the defense was from mid-season on)

Which is a point in favor of Kyle's theory that there's no such thing as a special punter.

Did the Cowboys really deny permission to interview McCarthy????? If so, I may take back some of the things I’ve said about Jerry Jones.

He has a good gross but his net sucked because he kicked too many low, returnable punts. He was good at avoiding touchbacks but not at pinning teams deep. He was inconsistent about using the sidelines well.

Even if there was a special punter, it wouldn't be him

Taylor’s net was 45.5 in December it looks like which would be second in the league for the whole season

still wouldn’t be a punt god but that should at least be the standard for next season to avoid clownfraud status

Well at least George is good at something

If only our team was as consistent as George is.  Oh wait, we are.

Raiders opening up might not be great if ur dead set on vrabel or johnson

I don't see Johnson seriously consider the Raiders unless they give him a Gruden style contract.

I'm sure Lions fans don't care if it blows up down the road if they win the SB. Very similar to Maddon and the 2016 Cubs.
