Between that and ponying up to keep all the stars from going pro, it definitely shapes up as a 'no excuses' type season for James Franklin.

Not that he needs excuses - getting to the semifinals is an unqualified really good season - but they seem all in on 2025.

If OSU's staff was going to be raided to this extent I wish it'd have happened before Notre Dame played them for the national title

He was already getting $2M per year (his NIL contract was the subject of some online discussion when he first enrolled) and decided he was getting underpaid even though he was not that great by any statistical measure last year. Whoever advised him to do this is a tool because it's absolutely going to cost him money.
