The Tenn pitching staff should be interesting but yeah, that lineup, woof.

They’re Knoxville now.

Yeah, will be interesting to see if the Cubs can develop some of the younger guys into meaningful prospects.  We could become a bottom-5 farm very quickly, perhaps.  Would really love to hit on a couple of guys.  With Moises soon to graduate, would love to see somebody from the Latin kids emerge as a significant prospect.  And from the high-school draft picks.

I don't mind the Cubs' meh middle minors depth, to be honest. It's not that I like it or anything, but, you can stock that part of the system reasonably well out of the draft. If the Cubs didn't trade Smith and Mathis had a healthy season, I get the sense there'd be less consternation over it. But, we at least have enviable depth in the low minors.

Actually, I'd be more worried if there the lower levels were empty, since part of what killed the farm post-Bryant were the trades for guys like Quintana and Chapman.

It's not a great place for the farm, but I think it's something that can be fixed much more easily than weaknesses elsewhere in the system.

Also it's probably been said but it's striking to note the possible dropoff after trades/graduations. Eight of our top 10 are in AAA. We need the young infielders like Rojas and Cruz (x2) and Hernandez to have big years.

Happ, Seiya, Nico, Tucker will all likely be gone soon enough, so trades or comp picks should reload the lower minors.  RIP our best players lol.

FanGraphs did a post-ST rerank

- Both Hope (now a bricked up 230# says Longenhagen) and Ferris bumped to 50 FVs…Nfn but Ferris is hanging in there as a SP prospect and it’d be pretty funny if Cubs contributed the meat of that rotation swinging from a half dozen TJs per arm to none

- Dollander stays underrated at 14. Rockies and all, that guy’s going to be really good. Nice to see Jarlin Susana in the Nats org so high (22)

Shaw 12, Alcantara 42, Horton 64, Rojas 69

Thank you for taking the time to post suchness!

Lance Brozdowski is releasing his Cubs top 30 this week. Here is 30-21: https://www.marqueesportsnetwork.com/mlb-prospect-rankings-top-30-chicago-cubs-minor-leaguers/

20-11 will be out tomorrow.

Already an interesting list. Seeing players like Hernandez, Mathis and Sanders (who Lance had as a guy to watch on live TV) means that the top-20 will be an interesting list.
