Pretty decent episode Flus seems like a good dude. Thought we would get too much Kevin Warren but maybe that's a later episode.  When was Kmet at the Cubs game? That seems like it was a long time ago

Stacey Dales said that eberflus told her Caleb is playing on Saturday FYI

Was there really a question? I can understand not playing the HOF game, most people don’t play in that, but a rookie starting QB is almost certainly getting at least a series or two in the first real preseason game

There's been talk of sitting him bc of the OL injuries and he gave an indefinite answer today when asked directly.

I've sunk to the depths of degeneracy that I watched a 35 minute video about the QB3 in the fake preseason game

Takeaways:

1) this guy desperate needs an editor. That was 12 minutes worth of content that he tripled in length by repeating himself over and over and over

2) I don't think Rypien is any worse than Bagent, for whatever that's worth.  Or at least the Bagent we saw last year, I'm still curious to see if he's improved

I literally asked my Bears group chat who JT O'Sullivan could have possibly wasted time making a Brett Rypien preseason film analysis video for.

Asked and answered lol

Same. I thought it was interesting. I don't think it makes Flus look any better as a coach.

What's good for the Bears (drama free camp, hard work, etc) is bad for Hard Knocks. We, as Bears fans, will enjoy the show because its about our team. I'm going to guess that we will hear complaints of it being "boring" by the more casual HK fans if the show continues like episode 1.

I am sure the McCaskey's are trying their best to lock as much down as possible.

You follow someone around for a week filming them, you can tell any story you want about them with some editing and the right musical stings

Sure, but it looks like some of the possible storylines that might have been "juicy" just kinda weren't.

- "Cocky and confident rookie QB comes to camp...how will he handle the pressure?" - He's really coachable and everyone seems to like him

- "Ryan Poles needs to figure out how to extend some of his other offensive stars" - He signs DJ Moore quickly and with little controversy

- "Exciting position battles at the first preseason game!!" - No one of consequence plays and the game is rained out

PRODUCER: "We only have 22 minutes of show here.....we didn't throw away that haircut footage, did we?"

Isn’t hard knocks always about 3rd string guys getting cut? They got the guy who sang in his underwear get injured in game 1. They set up the undrafted rookie qb and the WRs who won’t make the team. There’s not that much filmable conflict in any NFL building.
