Look on the brightside, Aug/Sept will stress free when it comes to Cubs.

They'll probably go on a winning streak in Sept to drop us 3-4 spots in the draft lottery.

Is Hendricks ever going to go away? He was washed up 2 years ago.

I am sure Jed keeps him around so they can share 2016 stories. 😂

Last year he was totally fine.

When that happens, I'll just assume the Cubs are trolling the fans.

Oh this is just about a guarantee. They'll still pick around 11th somehow.

Ah yes the pointless Sept winning streak.

Classic.

I just really don’t understand how the offense was so good last year and so bad this year. Like it’s such a drastic drop in performance I just don’t understand

Funny interview of carter hawkins on 670 score the other day. He got really pissy and snarky when asked about the failings this year. And why Jeb wasn't more proactive to right the ship.

Moral of the story, Jeb & Carter, put out or shut up

He got pissy?  What does he expect, the media to kiss his ass when he and his boss put together $235 million worth of trash?  His supposed "win now" team has now played at a 66 win pace for half of a season (well, almost.  32-47 in their last 79 games) so not even the flagship station is going to give him softball questions when he's on the air and they shouldn't.

Lol, sort of like Jesse Rodgers the other day asking cc a question that got under cc's skin

Jed's career peaked when he was getting coffee for Theo in 2016.

Jed will get hired back in Boston as soon as he gets fired. He does some things well. This result is not intended but is baked into the design as a possible outcome. Jed ant Tommy Boy value similar qualities and are motivated by value, which is not necessarily a bad thing. But if it’s the primary factor things can go sideways.

I don’t know a lot about Hawkins, but I give him as much blame for this current mess as I give credit to Jed for the success of 2016.

Pretty much zero.

Hendricks was a little more defiant (maybe not quite the right word) in his post-game comments last night.  He basically said he pitched great, made some pitches that should have been outs, and then had one mistake for the home run.  He didn't specifically call out the defense, but I have to imagine there was frustration with Seiya's misplay behind his comments.  I would be frustrated too if a fielder's mistake ended up resulting in getting tagged for 6 Earned Runs instead of 0.  Obivously that isn't ALL on Seiya, but the inning should have been over.
