Its Over Basketball GIF by NBA

OKC might have won anyway but it's hard to believe this would have happened had Haliburton not gotten hurt. Indy scored at least 104 in each of the first 6 games and might not get to 90 today. The only guy to score in the last 12 minutes of game action for Indy is McConnell, and he's currently their leading scorer.

Haliburton just blew his Achillies. Calf injury turns to achillies just like KD.

Haliburton, Lilliard, and Tatum. All torn their achillies in these playoffs and coincidentally enough, they all wore #0.

i'm not even a pacers fan and i feel lousy about last night. i really think they would have won without the injury.

Haliburton played 7 minutes and scored as many points as Nesmirh, Turner and Toppin combined. Those three vombined to average 36 ppg in the playoffs. Haliburton also led Indy in 3 pointers made yesterday.

I heard speculation that Haliburton could miss all of next season too?

Sucks, because I think the Pacers would have won going away

man it's gotta suck to watch your team lose a game 7 in the finals and have the following season wiped away in the process

I’m a huge lifelong Pacers fan (59 years old), and yes, it sucks hard.

It seems almost certain at this point.  It's rough.  And so much of the Pacers roster is there because their skillsets work well with how Haliburton plays.

Possibly all of him, Tatum and Lillard, right?  Any injury requiring surgery is devastating, does anyone know if Achilles' injuries are as potentially career altering as some knee injuries?  Look at what happened to Derrick Rose, might have been on a HOF trajectory before the knee injury afterwards, was not on the same trajectory.

Achilles tears have always been thought of as career altering, but KD tore his achilles in the playoffs in the exact same way (in his mid 30s), missed a year and came back and might have even gotten more efficient. I think Tatum, Halli and Dame (we'll see I guess based on age, maybe he's the outlier) will come back fine. The bigger problem is that they're all max guys and their teams have to go a year without them and will all look different by the time they're back. I think the pacers are destined to lose Turner (he was awful all series so not sure if that matters) and nesmith before halliburton comes back. Rosters change so quickly in the nba that one burnt year can really kill you.

saw a thing that said both tatum and halliburton tore their right achilles, which isnt as necessary for a right handed player as their left achilles. KD tore his right achilles and outside of what im sure was an awful rehab process during a missed year, was more than fine afterward.

but maybe dame is dead who knows

I, for one, am ever so grateful for them repeatedly showing his achilles snap like a rubber band in slow motion over and over and over

I saw it the one time and have looked away at each subsequent replay.
