Maybe this is Counsell telling Jed "hey man, this is the guy you gave me, so I'm just going to keep using him until you get me someone better"?

Exactly,  that what I posted earlier on here..

You give me crap to use in these situations,  then here you go

2 weeks ago I was angry

Last week I was saying I wasn’t even angry anymore but still felt the sting.

I felt absolutely nothing when I saw the HR. Just kind of a “meh, oh well”

I did a laugh under my breath along with a "no horsefeathers way"

neris floating non-competitive 83 mph splitters into the right handed batter’s box is going to be the lasting image of this horsefeathers team.

I believe that’s the 10th loss when leading in the 8th inning or later. Like you can’t even make this horsefeathers up, there are bad players and bad decisions and all that but the team also just feels shakebit. What are ya gonna do?

It’s that old Darren rovell tweet. ‘I feel bad for our country (cubs fans). But this is tremendous content’

I think I'd rather have David Ross at this point.

Ross would've taken horsefeathers Neris out of the closer role by now

Our genius manager continues to put the worst reliever on the team in the closer role just because he's old.

Unfortunately, nearly every reliever on this team would be in the bottom 2 relievers of about 25 teams. I wish this was hyperbole.

I think it’s funny that Jed preached flexibility and smart spending but in reality the Cubs are kind of boxed in for the next 1-2 seasons outside of help from the farm. He has a glut of highly paid average to below average players that have very little trade value but are under contract for a couple of years. There is *some* flexibility but nowhere near what Jed was obsessing over. They’re kind of hosed for the next 2 years unless the Cubs swing some very advantageous trades and get lucky or the vaunted farm system starts giving the Cubs position players with star level production

Yea, it kinda silly to jump on Counsell over the crap he has to use in the pen.

It not like he has a go to guy or two available in there that he refuses to use, he's been using everyone and they all have failed.
