Not that it horsefeathers matters, but we are benching our best hitter so that we can give Tauchman, and his .575 OPS over the last month, the most ABs today. Craig Counsel is just the unenthusiastic version of David Ross.

Well, they finally did. In just 32 games.  First place after 38 games with a 22-16 record facing a difficult schedule.  32 games later, and an 11-22 record over that span, and Cubs find themselves as the lone cellar dweller in the Central. 

Job well done!

I don’t get it either. Busch needs to play. I guess if Tauchman were in right and Suzuki was the DH, the argument could be he wants a better OF defense. But he is using Tauchman as the DH. Doesn’t make sense.

Other fans, when their starter pitches a very good game, get excited and assume most of those will be victories.

Yep, we usually get a good ballgame for 6-7 innings and then either the bats can't score runs, the bullpen blows it up, or both.
