That was literally the worst dropped fly ball I’ve ever seen and I remember Brant Brown.

Nothing will ever top Brant Brown. Stakes aren’t even the same..

It shouldn’t. Tauchman has been ass since April. He has competitive ABs but the results are meh. For the season about the same as Busch, and he was much worse than Busch in May even with Busch struggling himself.

Busch’s defense has also improved tremendously (up to +3 OAA). I think I’d want Cody in RF and Seiya DHing a good amount of the time. Tauch can PH for Busch when more contact/OBP is needed, and then slide Cody to 1B.

DH time indeed

Obviously Seiya should have caught that but unreal that we had to play through pouring rain screwing with Steeles control and making that fly ball harder to catch

is this piece of horsefeathers garbage game on tv anymore or no?

Yes, but save yourself the pain and find something else to do

Maybe David Ross wasn’t the problem. And maybe our top executive shouldn’t be so blind to his piss poor roster construction and see that.

Man this definitely isn't going to be Steele year, from getting hurt in the very first inning of the season to all the crappy baseball played behind him.

Suzuki and Steele have really fallen off of the wagon. What a shame.

What the heck did Steele do?  Gave up 2 singles in the inning but outside of that walked and hit a batter while it was pouring out and then gave up a pop up and a routine fly ball

Seiya looks like he’s about to cry coming off the field

I know it's raining and they probably shouldn't be playing, but he HAS to catch that ball. That said, I do legitimately feel bad for him.

Meanwhile, I’m really confused why we delayed a game three hours only for it to be played in a steady, steady rain anyway.

Both were problems and Jed’s seat should be getting hot

Hate to take a victory lap on that crap, but I’ve been on a Twitter crusade arguing this point as well. It just needs to happen.

Seiya has been a butcher on the field since he came over, Tauchman isn’t much better but at least he can catch a fly ball

Good thing Michael Busch exists!

He’s missed some easy flies in Phoenix, in Atlanta, and now in Chicago. Not sure if it’s losing the ball in the lights, rain, lack of concentration, fluke plays, or all of the above.

Not to make excuses for Seiya, but aren't all Japanese games played in domes?

Was the roof closed in Phoenix last year?
