“Is it sustainable?”, so asks the national announcer after discussing Red Sox 2.63 ERA after one month. horsefeathers no it’s not sustainable.

Wes is pitching really well so far

Cubs definitely don't have SP problems

Honestly I don't see how they can bring Hendricks back into the rotation other then respect for him.

I kinda hope he keeps his injury all season but remains in the dugout to stay in these kids ears.

I’m not seeing the value provided by the win probability bar to justify the screen space.

Welcome to today's sports where everything is statistical.

That was so disrespectful by the announcing team towards Shota and his interpreter.

What did I miss? Was googling something

They were interviewing him in the dugout. Because the first question took so long (between going through his interpreter both ways), combined with how quick the inning went... they decided to not ask him a question because they felt it would go to commercial really quickly. Then the color guy says "I want to ask him one real quick... how long did it take him to learn 'Go Cubs Go'?"
Then - because the translator was DOING HIS JOB - the color guy says "just ask him to sing it!" - like Shota's a performance monkey to do ESPN's bidding.

Ahhh gotcha. Yeah, these commentators leave a lot to be desired. A lot.

Looks like cameramen were part of ESPN budget cuts

You’d really think a network that has been doing nothing but sports for more than 4 decades would be better at it. Everything about their broadcast is subpar.
