I’d love to see what the Cubs % of getting runs home from 3rd and less than 2 outs is compared to the rest of the league. Seems like we’re really failing in those situations often lately. But I could be completely wrong

Exchange lately with almost every year of my life but either you're right or we're really pessimistic

FWIW I just checked and the Cubs are 7th in average with RISP, but I can't find any specific splits on successfully plating runners from 3rd with under 2 outs.

The Brewers, naturally, are way ahead of everyone in average with RISP at .344.

Eric Hosmer, Trey Mancini, Edwin Rios.. and now Garret Cooper... all "Cub" for reclamation project failures.

Though full disclosure: I was rooting for Mancini to succeed here. Just never transpired.

Why has it become such a difficult choice not to have Alzolay as this teams closer? He can go and have success as a 7th or 8th inning guy.

It would REALLY be nice if The Professor™ showed up tomorrow and gave us a start similar or greater than the one versus the Giants last summer.

Hendricks, get ready to visit Des Moines.

This is counsell not chasing wins.

Yes, that’s a thing that I’m really going to come to hate. I get it, but it’s tough to stomach.

Cooper looks like a guy who should be slugging 40 bombs a year, not being a scrub bench guy

He looks like he should be working the paint department at Lowe’s.

Garrett Cooper has a 122 wRC+ at the moment, if you are comparing him to Mancini/Hosmer or are generally worked up about his production you need to get a grip.

He’s a short side platoon guy. It should be higher.

It’s April 21 and cooper had a higher wOBA than every starter except Busch going into today, but yeah, go off

Cooper sucks
